How do you book the KLM Bus?

1. Booking

Book a KLM ticket on KLM.com with the desired bus stop as your point of departure or arrival.

2. Preparations

Check the departure time of your bus. This is stated in your booking confirmation.

3. Departure

Show your ID document and KLM ticket to the bus driver.

  • The KLM Bus runs 7 days a week.
  • You can find the departure times of the KLM Bus by clicking here.
  • If the bus has an unexpected delay, we will change your booking free of charge.
  • You can stow your baggage in a separate bus compartment.
  • Flying Blue members cannot earn Miles or XP (Experience Points) with a trip on the KLM Bus, but they can earn these on the flight trip.
  • If you want to add a KLM Bus reservation to your existing KLM ticket, just contact the KLM Customer Contact Centre or your travel agent. This is free of charge.
  • The KLM Bus cannot be booked with KLM Holidays package trips.

The KLM Bus runs free of charge from Nijmegen and Arnhem to Schiphol and back twice a day.

You can board 20 minutes in advance at the Nijmegen and Schiphol stop. The bus makes a stopover at the other stops. You will find the departure time on your ticket.
Note: From 21 July u/i 19 August the KLM Bus stops at the Burgemeester Hustinxstraat and not at the Tunnelweg.

When booking, you can choose to depart from Maastricht, Eindhoven, Nijmegen or Arnhem. The KLM Bus is then booked as a “flight segment” and will be specified on your ticket. If the KLM Bus is not specified on your ticket, you cannot make use of this free service. You can, however, add the KLM Bus to your booking at a later date. To do so, please get in touch with the KLM Contact Centre (klm.nl/contact) or call 020 – 4 747 747. If you have booked via a travel agent, please contact them to add the KLM Bus to your booking. This service is free of charge.
Yes, absolutely. You can add the KLM Bus to your ticket up to one hour before departure from the bus stop. If your booking was made directly with KLM, you can add the KLM Bus to your trip through KLM.
In order to do so, please contact the KLM Contact Centre (klm.com/contact) or call +31(0)20 – 4 747 747. If your booking was made through a travel agent, you can add the bus service through your travel agent. No extra costs will be charged for this.
You can add the KLM Bus to your ticket up to one hour before departure from the busstop. Please note that adding the KLM Bus to an existing ticket means your ticket will have to be adjusted. Without a valid ticket you cannot make use of the KLM Bus.
Yes, you can change your booking for the KLM Bus at no extra charge, providing there is sufficient time left for the transfer at Schiphol. Please note that your ticket will have to be reissued by KLM or the travel agent who has made the reservation.
Yes, you can cancel your booking for the KLM Bus at no extra charge. This will not affect the rest of your booking. Please note that your ticket will have to be reissued
No, you can only use the KLM Bus if this is included in your ticket. The KLM Bus can be added to your ticket at no extra charge. 
The bus trip is considered part of the KLM journey and must therefore comply with a number of safety requirements. We must, therefore, know who will be travelling with us. Close attention is also paid to capacity. For such reasons, you must book the KLM Bus in advance.
Yes, the bus is also suitable for passengers with reduced mobility. You will have to provide your own wheelchair if needed, since no wheelchair service is available on the bus. Hand-pushed, collapsible wheelchairs can be transported on the bus without requiring prior notification. Passengers who cannot independently board the bus should contact KLM for further information and assistance.
No, the KLM Bus is completely free of charge. However, reservations must be made in advance.
At Maastricht Centre, in Nijmegen and at Schiphol, you can board the KLM Bus 20 minutes before departure. At Maastricht Aachen Airport, Eindhoven Airport and in Arnhem, the bus will stop for a quick pick-up, arriving at the bus stop a few minutes before departure.
The minimum transfer time from Maastricht, Eindhoven, Nijmegen and Arnhem to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is 90 minutes.
The minimum transfer time from Schiphol to Maastricht, Eindhoven, Nijmegen and Arnhem is 60 minutes.
If the bus is unexpectedly delayed, we will rebook your ticket free of charge. The driver maintains direct contact with Schiphol.
If you miss the KLM Bus you will have to travel to Schiphol by your own means. You will be responsible for these costs. If you arrive at Schiphol on time, you can simply take your connecting flight.

If you choose one of the KLM Bus stops as a departure point when booking, you will automatically be offered the bus service that best suits your flight schedule. The minimum transfer time from Maastricht, Eindhoven, Nijmegen and Arnhem to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is 90 minutes. The minimum transfer time from Schiphol to Maastricht, Eindhoven, Nijmegen and Arnhem is 60 minutes. 

Yes, the KLM Bus will always operate if one or more passengers are booked for the journey.
No, children are not required to travel in a separate child seat.
Unfortunately, you will not be able to travel with bicycles, tandems, ski gear or other odd-sized baggage on the KLM Bus.
No, unfortunately you will not be allowed to travel with your pet on the KLM Bus.
No, you will be required to take your baggage from the bus yourself and check it in or take it to the baggage drop-off point. The same applies when arriving back at Schiphol after your trip. You will be required to take your baggage from the baggage carousel to the KLM Bus yourself.

If your flight to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is delayed and you miss the KLM Bus as a result, KLM unfortunately cannot offer you an alternative. The KLM Bus is a free service that runs on a fixed schedule, with no exceptions. If you miss the bus, you will have to find alternative transport.
